Aftercare Advice
To help keep your skin calm, smooth and comfortable after your waxing treatment, please follow these aftercare guidelines.
- Avoid heat and swimming for 24 hours. This includes swimming pools, hot baths or showers, steam rooms, saunas and jacuzzis.
- Avoid UV exposure for 24 hours. Please refrain from sunbathing and using sunbeds, as your skin may be more sensitive following waxing.
- Avoid fragranced products for 24–48 hours. Do not apply deodorant, fake tan, perfume or other scented products directly to the waxed area, as these may cause irritation or discomfort.
- Wear loose-fitting clothing for 24 hours. Avoid tight clothing that may rub against the skin and cause further irritation.
Top Tip: Help prevent ingrown hairs
Gently dry brush the waxed area a couple of times a week to help exfoliate the skin and reduce the likelihood of ingrown hairs.
Use a soft-bristled body brush on completely dry skin before bathing or showering. After washing, gently moisturise the area with a suitable, fragrance-free lotion. I would recommend using E45 or Baby Oil.
Remember: Your skin may be more sensitive immediately after waxing, so treat the area gently and allow it time to settle. Wait 72 hours before exfoliating following your intimate wax. Do not exfoliate freshly waxed or irritated skin, and resume gentle exfoliation only once the skin has calmed.
